CHOIR ANNUAL REPORT
Once again I wish to commend our choir for their efforts during the
past year. Our presentation of the Cantata "From Cross to Crown" was
well received and from our point of view, it was a pleasure to sing
this work of Caleb Semper.
Our Christmas Sunday anthems were a move into a more contemporary
style of music, a style which we somewhat carried forward to the
Christmas Eve Service. It is our hope that more of this music becomes
available.
As in other years we have to draw attention to the lack of tenor
voices in the choir. At present we have one person only - a
lady-singing tenor, & although we appreciate Gwen’s effort, we must
agree that the help of 2 or 3 tenor voices would give the choir more
balance, & Gwen could take her rightful place as a first soprano.
It has been a great pleasure to serve another year as Music Director
in our Church and I pray for strength and guidance in the coming year.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNUAL REPORT
The Church School meets at 11:00 a.m. in the lower hall. There are 5
classes. We try to have two teachers for each class, so that one
teacher teaches for a month and has a month off. The teachers are:
Kindergarten(ages 4-5) Mrs. Shelly Mast
Mre. Catherine Reed
Grades 1 & 2 Mre. Susan Luxon
Mrs. Ellspeth Singh
Grades 3 & 4 Miss Carolyn Hunter
Mrs. Carol Johnstone
Grades 5 & 6
Youth(Grade 7 & up) Mr. Ray Luxon
As you can see from this report, we are in need of three teachers.
There is going to be a Teachers’ Workshop in Elmira on Feb. 23rd.
Please think about joining us if you are interested. I have more
information about it.
The children take part in the Congregational Picnic in June, sell
church calendars(there are still a few left) and put on the Christmas
Pageant followed by a Christmas party.
I would like to thank all the teachers, including the ones we have
lost. They are certainly going to be missed. The two that we lost this
year are - Miss Susan McLean and Mre. Linda Van Norman.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped the
Church School this year. It is greatly appreciated!
