BIBLE STUDY GROUP ANNUAL REPORT
The mid week afternoon Bible Study Group continued to meet throughout
1990 on a regular basis. Although small in numbers(8-10 participants),
the group has grown in knowledge and understanding over the year as a
result of our weekly study meetings. The year started with a Bible
Study of the First Book of Peter in which we found many insights into
the Christian faith, and plenty to challenge us in our daily lives as
Christians. The fall months saw a different type of study as the group
looked at "Women like us in the Bible." The group has once again
appreciated the dedicated and enthusiastic leadership of Donna Wilson
for the study sessions throughout the year.
January will see the start of another new venture as the group
undertakes a Video Study Series on "Jesus - Then and Now." All members
and friends of the congregation are invited to join with us, as we
discuss the life of Christ, and its implications for us here and now.
Special Monthly Fellowship Days have continued to be an ongoing
project of the Study Group. Hot meals were prepared and served on
eight of the days, while afternoon sessions were held during June, July
and August. Our Festive Meal in November was particularly well
attended, with over 5@ people sitting down to dinner. These days will
continue to be offered in 1991. Donations of food have been
appreciated, and we encourage any who have not yet been involved, to
consider the possibility of involvement, either by coming out to work,
or just to participate on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:30
to 3:30.
