EXPLORERS
Our group this year consists of 7 girls and 2 boys. We meet on
Wednesday evenings after school from 4:32 - 6:00 p.m.
As usual we began in January with our Mission Study supplied by the
Canadian Bible Society. We studied Papua New Guinea and were very
fortunate to have many interesting articles direct from a mission in
Papua New Guinea brought to us by the missionary’s mother, who spent
one session with us sharing what she brought. We gave $100.00 to the
Canadian Bible Society for the purchase of Bible readers for the
children.
We went to Crieff again with the C.G.I.T.
We made Easter cards for Seniors and other Easter crafts.
We attended the P.W.A. Mother and Daughter Banquet in May, followed by
a sleepover at Sally’s with the C.G.I.T. We had a singsong and weiner
roast before going to our tents for (sleep?).
We attended a performance put on by the Christian Reformed Church.
In September we began by studying how to become an Explorer.
We had a Halloween Party in October.
In December we studied Christmas in Other Lands and made many crafts.
We put up the Christmas tree in the sanctuary.
*Due to lack of children C.0.C. has been discontinued.
In 1990 we paid out $195.61.
Our offerings & P.W.A. donation were $119.74.
Present balance is $153.39.
We collected $31.33 during Lent which we donated to the Coin Fund.
New members are always most welcome. (Grades 4 - 6)
