THE WEEKENDERS 3
It all started 2 years ago when a group from our congregation spent a
weekend at Crieff getting to know and understand one another. The
group is composed of couples and singles and ranges in age from the
early twenties to ..... whatever. Since our first weekend, we have
spent several weekends together at Crieff.
Some of our social activities in 1989 have included:
-an Irish Fun Night to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 17th. A 16
mm. film entitled “Images of Ireland" was viewed, followed by the
singing of some Irish songs.
-a trip to London to a Gospel Concert featuring the "Cathedrals" of
Ohio and “Promise” of London in April
-a pool party and barbecue in July at the home of Ed and Dee Renaud
-an evening of dinner and dancing at the Black Forest Inn in September
-a get-together at George and Michelle Forsyth's home in December
We welcome anyone in our congregation who is interested in joining the
Weekenders. Our next weekend at Crieff is Mar.9-11th/90. Come and
enjoy good food, fellowship, singing, walks, quiet times etc. Why not
consider joining us? You'll be glad you did!
For more information, speak to Ed and Dee Renaud, or Tom and Marg
Beale.

CHOIR ANNUAL REPORT
Another year has passed us by and we are happy to see that our numbers
have not diminished from the preceding year. It has been a year of
some measure of success and my deepest appreciation is extended to our
choir members for their dedication to this part of our worship
service.
Christmas Eve was a resounding success, I believe, and a great many of
our congregation expressed their pleasure at the somewhat different
format of the service. It was a delight on our part also.
Now we look forward to Easter and as is usual I must make a plea for
some new members. We do need sopranos(of all things) and again,as
usual, our tenor section needs help. We invite any who would like to
sing with us to join us on Thursday evenings.
