Victoria Circle Annual Report
Victoria Circle with a membership of 13 and an average attendance of 8
meets at the members' homes every month except July and August. Our
meetings open with a short worship period followed by a varying length
business session and end with refreshments and a social time.
We support the "Fellowship of the Least Coin" and the Unicef “Penny
Beggar" can, and our offerings go to the Women's Missionary Society.
In our own church we provide the flowers on a two-monthly rotation,
help with the spring Bake Sale and the annual Bazaar and with other
functions as required. Some of us helped the C.G.I.T. to knit afghan
squares for their mission project, and last March we counted
everything in the kitchen for insurance purposes.
In the community we help with the World Day of Prayer services, with
Meals on Wheels and the Inter-Church Council nursing home - tea and
Provide two Christmas gifts for nursing home patients. We also
continue to support our foster son in Costa Rica.
Our money-raising projects are a spring Card and Dessert Party and two
Bring and Buys at our meetings.
Being a Circle member is not all work and no play. In June we have a
barbecue and in December we go out for dinner.
As always we extend our grateful thanks to those husbands and friends
who help us through the year with our various undertakings.
