We say goodbye to 1988 in January slowly - because the bills and
records are still Coming in of a year that is past. And there is, of
course, accounting with the income tax For the year that is past that
will keep us Pouring over records until April 30th. On the other hand, we
are immersed in a new year — and perhaps new beginnings.

In a sense that’s true of spiritual things too.- Evaluations must go
on of our spiritual lives - bills for forgiveness - cheques from God’s
treasure house pour in to meet our spiritual needs. In all this we must
keep an eye on the fact that daily our books are open to God and Finally
there is a great audit which we meet with our Saviour Jesus Christ’s help
and the support of His Cross.

As in 1989 we move forward may it be in God’s strength to sustain and
carry us over the "Jordans” of life.

In Christ’s service,
K.J. Wilson
