CHOIR REPORT
SS Another choir report - it means another year has passed us by, a year
of struggle to keep our numbers up. We have had some especially good days
and some not so good, but overall we have some degree of satisfaction in
our efforts.
We are grateful to Christine Mowatt for the many years of service she has
given to the choir, and hope her retirement is pleasant and short. We
miss you Christine. ;
The choir is now endeavouring to sing more contemporary musicCrather than
the old traditional), and singing in three parts instead of four. This is
necessitated by the continued shortage of a strong tenor section.
Christmas was a most enjoyable occasion to us and judging from the kind
remarks of many, our efforts from the front on Christmas Eve with the -
piano were enjoyed by most. Our thanks to Jessie Gibson for helping on
the piano and with the children’s choir.
We will be starting on Easter music immediately and at this point would
invite anyone who wishes to serve in this manner to join with us.
My thanks go to all the choir members for their dedication. We look ahead
to continued success as we "Sing Unto the Lord.”
